What We Do
Islands - Bespoke Family History Research
This could be:
Modification of one of the packages to meet your specific research needs;
Focusing on a specific individual or small family group – typically to expand research where a ‘brick wall’ has been encountered;
Tidying up, sourcing or proof reading research already undertaken by yourself;
Advice on DNA testing for family history research;
Document look ups.
COST: £30.00 per hour plus agreed in advance expenses such as copying, pay to view sites or travel expenses to research outside of indicated record centers (Dorset, Devon, Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire)

King Penguin Package
This fixed price package will trace one branch (surname) of your family following the direct line back. Typically this will be 3 to 4 generations to the late 1700s or early 1800s.
COST: £450.00 inclusive.

Emperor Penguin Package
This fixed price package will trace two branches (surnames) of your family following the direct line back. Typically this will be 3 to 4 generations to the late 1700s or early 1800s.
COST: 750.00 inclusive.

Rookery Package
This package will investigate the lives of the people who once considered your house their home. Typically this will include birth, marriage and death details, occupation and dates of occupation for all occupiers of your house, together with any relevant newspaper reports and images.

COST: starting from £700 - depending on age and location of property.

Presentation Packages
Ideal for gifts the above packages can be upgraded to hard bound physically copies.

Coaching and tuition
Personalised guidance is available to get you started on your historical journey or guide you onto the stages of research beyond the essential births, marriages and deaths dates.

Your Research Report will contain
Bespoke Research:
An electronic report (pdf), including client brief, research strategy and fully sourced results. Where appropriate documents will be transcribed and copies of documents, where copyright allows, will be included.
As this is a bespoke option the final report can be modified as part of the initial consultation.

King Penguin Package or Emperor Package:
An electronic report (pdf), including client brief, research strategy, fully sourced results for each individual researched and family tree diagrams. Where original documents are hand written they will be transcribed and copies of documents, where copyright allows, will be included.

Rookery Package
An electronic report (pdf), including client brief, research strategy, fully sourced results for each bibliographic profile. Where original documents are hand written they will be transcribed and copies of documents, where copyright allows, will be included.
Payment
We accept payment in £ (pounds Sterling) by cheque drawn on UK banks, credit or debit card via Pay Pal or by bank transfer.

A deposit is required prior to any research being undertaken.
Payment is due on receipt of invoice. Reports will be released once final payment is received.
